The role
A well-established secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning across KS3–KS5.
This role will involve leading small group interventions, covering lessons where required, and working closely with teaching staff to raise attainment. The school has clear systems and a strong support structure, making it an excellent environment for an experienced TA ready to take the next step.

Key responsibilities

The ideal candidate

HLTA qualification or significant secondary TA experience

Confident leading groups independently

Strong behaviour management skills

Experience supporting pupils with SEN

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
