Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary SEND
Location: Sunderland
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

We are seeking a Primary HLTA to support pupils with SEND in a nurturing primary school environment.
This role includes leading learning sessions, supporting classroom delivery and providing targeted interventions for pupils with additional needs.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress and emotional development.
Key responsibilities:
• Leading small-group and intervention sessions
• Supporting pupils with SEND needs
• Assisting with lesson delivery and planning
• Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour
• Working closely with teaching and SEN staff
This role is ideal for someone who:
• Holds HLTA status
• Has experience in a primary school setting
• Is confident leading learning activities
• Is patient, organised and supportive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
