Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the delivery of educational programmes under the guidance of teachers
  • Support individual and small groups of students with their learning activities
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Prepare and organise educational materials and resources
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and performance
  • Assist in the supervision of students during break times and off-site activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification

Education:

Further education in relevant subjects is desirable

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school setting as a Teaching Assistant

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the national curriculum and educational policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Experience working with special educational needs students

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, interacting with students, teachers, and parents. The job may require some flexibility in working hours to accommodate school schedules and activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
