Job Duties:

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and providing individual support to students
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources
  • Supervising students during lessons and other activities
  • Assessing and recording student progress
  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents on student performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in supporting teaching and learning in schools
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant
  • Good understanding of the national curriculum

Education:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Specialist training in areas such as SEN support

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
