Job Duties:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Assisting in planning and preparing teaching materials
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Supervising group activities and maintaining classroom discipline
  • Assessing and recording student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education:

GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school setting as a Teaching Assistant

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the national curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Experience working with SEN students

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment under the direction of a teacher. It may require occasional lifting and bending. The work hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
