Protocol Education are working in close collaboration with a mainstream school located in Chadwell Heath who are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.

The school is looking for an experienced HLTA who has experienced in providing support to children with learning difficulties including Autism and Social & Emotional needs.

Experience or qualifications working in one or more of the following specialist areas: autism, dyslexia, literacy, numeracy or literacy support programmes is highly advantageous.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant you will be working with the students 1-1 and in small groups, creating reports on what happens throughout the day.

Requirements of a Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent pupil behavioural management skills
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision and direct a team
  • Experience working with children with SEN (Autism ADHD, Global Delay, MLD/SLD) on 1:1 basis or in classes
