Protocol Education are in close collaboration with an ambitious, community focused secondary school in Valentines, Redbridge who are seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant.

This school is looking for an experienced HLTA who has experience in providing support to children with learning difficulties including Autism and Social & Emotional needs.

Experience or qualifications working in one or more of the following specialist areas: autism, dyslexia, literacy, numeracy or literacy support programmes is highly advantageous.

As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will be working with the students 1-1 and in small groups, creating reports on what happens throughout the day.

Requirements of a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Excellent pupil behavioural management skills
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision and direct a team
  • Experience working with children with SEN (Autism ADHD, Global Delay, MLD/SLD) on 1:1 basis or in classes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
