Higher Learning Teaching Assistant

January start. Full-time.

We are looking for a pro-active and self-motivated HLTA with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage & inspire young people.
You will be working across KS1 & 2 at Primary schools Across South East London.

Working as a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant is a varied role where no two days will be the same you will spend some days working as a Classroom Teaching assistant, supporting the teacher. Taking small groups for interventions and taking a lead on supporting students with EAL and SEND within the classroom. Another part of your role will be to cover classes for planned absences and to allow teachers time to plan and mark.

Working as a HLTA you will need to be an effective communicator with the ability to work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the school.
Higher Learning Teaching Assistants need to be confident and well organised, having excellent behaviour and classroom management as well as have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom. You will need to have strong subject knowledge and thorough understanding of the national curriculum and its application in the classroom.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
