An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring Head of Sciences to lead and develop all Sciences, Computer Science, and vocational pathways, including BTEC Tech Awards in Health & Social Care and Child Development. This is a genuine chance to shape curriculum, provision, and outcomes across a broad and important faculty, inspiring students through high-quality teaching and applied learning.
This role is ideal for an experienced science teacher or current middle leader ready to take the next step in faculty leadership.
Your New Role
As Head of Sciences, you will:

Lead all Sciences, Computer Science, Health & Social Care, and Child Development across the school.

Set a clear vision for an ambitious, inclusive, and engaging curriculum across the faculty.

Oversee both GCSE and vocational pathways, ensuring strong outcomes and clear progression routes for all learners.

Lead and support a team of approximately 10 staff, providing strategic direction, coaching, and professional development.

Contribute to wider school leadership and strategic initiatives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
