An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring Head of Creative Arts to lead and develop Art, Design Technology, Music, and Drama across an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham. This is a genuine chance to shape curriculum, provision, and outcomes across the Creative Arts, inspiring students through high-quality practical and creative learning.
While the role spans all Creative Arts subjects, it would ideally suit a candidate with a Design Technology background and a readiness to take on broader faculty leadership.
Your New Role
As Head of Creative Arts, you will:

Lead Art, Design Technology, Music, and Drama, setting a clear vision for an ambitious, inclusive, and engaging curriculum.

Inspire students to develop creativity, confidence, and practical skills across all Creative Arts subjects.

Oversee curriculum design and delivery, ensuring it is relevant, forward-looking, and aligned with national developments.

Support, coach, and develop colleagues, raising standards and outcomes across the Creative Arts faculty.

Work with a committed team to provide a well-resourced and stimulating learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
