If you’re a graduate who’s interested in education, psychology, SEN or mental health, this Classroom SEN Teaching Assistant role is a brilliant way to get hands-on experience while supporting pupils who need it most.
We’re working with welcoming primary, secondary and specialist schools who are looking for graduates to support children with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
No classroom experience? That’s okay. What schools really want is the right attitude, patience and a genuine interest in supporting young people.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups within the classroom

Helping children access learning in a way that works for them

Supporting emotional regulation, routines and positive behaviour
-
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams

Building strong relationships that help pupils feel safe and confident
This role is ideal if you:

Hold a degree in any subject

Are considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, SEN or mental health
-
Are calm, empathetic and good at building rapport
-
Want practical experience that goes beyond textbooks

Enjoy working with people and being part of a supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
