About the Role
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Uxbridge is looking for a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are keen to gain school-based experience, support children’s learning, and develop key skills for a future career in teaching or education.
As a TA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the classroom teacher, working with pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, and helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide classroom support to teachers across lessons

Deliver targeted literacy, numeracy, and phonics interventions

Support pupils with SEND and EAL needs, adapting strategies to suit individuals

Contribute to positive behaviour management and pupil engagement

Encourage independence and act as a positive role model

Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
Requirements

Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable)

Knowledge of phonics, reading, and numeracy support strategies

Experience with SEND or EAL support is an advantage

Empathy, initiative, and excellent communication skills

Previous classroom-based experience preferred but not essential
