Protocol Education are workingwith an outstanding Primary school in North Manchester to recruit a Teaching Assistant to start with them on a temporary ongoing basis as soon as possible.

Role: Graduate Teaching Assistant

Start date: ASAP

Hours: Full time (8:30 - 15:30)

Location: North Manchester

Contract: Long term, short term

This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate who is interested in starting a career in teaching/education. This is your chance to gain classroom experience on a flexible basis before taking those next career steps in education/teaching. As a TA you will be expected to assess the needs of students and use knowledge and skills to support students’ learning. You should also expect to establish productive working relationships with students and act as a role model.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Be educated to degree level (any subject specialism welcome)
  • Experience working with children or young adults in a professional setting (desired)
  • Self-motivated and flexible due to working across different levels.
  • The ability to assist in evaluating individual pupils needs and progress.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide range of individual students.

Successful candidate must have:

  • DBS Certificate on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Right to work in the UK
  • 2 professional references
  • Has GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent
