Protocol Education are working in collaboration with a secondary school based in Hackney who are looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant.

The ideal candidate will be solution-focused, passionate, and adaptable, looking to develop their skills within in a classroom setting.

Experience of working in a mainstream school or special setting is desirable but not essential. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a team, supporting Key Stage 3 and 4.

This role would be ideal for a graduate or qualified teachers who would like co-teaching opportunities to build experience.

In their latest Ofsted rating this school was rated Good equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

This secondary school has excellent transportation links and is easily accessible to those who drive.

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of all the students
  • Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills
  • Support other students in the classroom, when needed
  • Basic knowledge of SEND and leaning barriers
