We’re working with friendly primary and secondary schools across Wakefield who are looking for graduates to support pupils in the classroom. You’ll be learning on the job, building confidence, and gaining hands-on experience that looks great on future PGCE, teacher training, or psychology applications.
What you’ll be doing

Supporting pupils in class, either 1:1 or in small groups

Helping children stay focused, confident, and engaged with learning

Working closely with teachers and SEN staff

Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

Being a positive, consistent presence in the classroom
This role is a great fit if you

Hold a degree in any subject, psychology, education, sociology, sports, or similar are especially welcome

Are considering teaching, educational psychology, or youth work

Are patient, proactive, and happy getting stuck in

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
