We’re working with friendly primary and secondary schools across Wakefield who are looking for graduates to support pupils in the classroom. You’ll be learning on the job, building confidence, and gaining hands-on experience that looks great on future PGCE, teacher training, or psychology applications.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils in class, either 1:1 or in small groups

  • Helping children stay focused, confident, and engaged with learning

  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs where required

  • Being a positive, consistent presence in the classroom

This role is a great fit if you

  • Hold a degree in any subject, psychology, education, sociology, sports, or similar are especially welcome

  • Are considering teaching, educational psychology, or youth work

  • Are patient, proactive, and happy getting stuck in

  • Want real school-based experience, not just observation
