Thinking about a career in teaching or applying for a PGCE? This is your chance to build real classroom experience, grow your confidence, and make a genuine difference in schools across Northumberland.

No formal experience? No problem. If you’ve worked with children before, that’s a bonus—but what really matters is your enthusiasm, positivity, and your drive to help children succeed.

Working 1:1 and in small groups, you’ll help make sure every child feels seen, heard, and supported in their learning.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Encouraging student participation and building confidence

  • Helping create a calm, positive classroom atmosphere

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and specialists

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with children or young people is a bonus but not essential

  • Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude

  • A real passion for education and supporting students to thrive

  • Confidence with behaviour management (we’ll help you with this)

Why Join Protocol Education?

  • Weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella companies

  • Access to free online CPD and training
