Learning Support Assistant
£90.18 – £115.21 per day
We are recruiting Graduate Learning Support Assistants to work in schools across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, SEN, social work, or pastoral support, and offers hands-on experience within the classroom.
Graduate LSAs play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing, and engagement with learning.

About the role

Support pupils in lessons across a range of subjects

Provide 1:1 or small-group support for students with additional needs

Assist pupils with SEN, SEMH, or EHCPs

Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation

Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams

Gain valuable classroom and safeguarding experience

The ideal candidate

Degree in any subject (education-related degrees welcomed but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
