About the role:

Currently, Protocol Education is currently recruiting Graduates to take on the role of Learning Support Assistant in schools within the Newcastle area.

This role is best suited to graduates who wish to gain more experience within an educational setting. The job can also be effective alongside your studies in order to advance your CV and build relationships with schools in the area.

This role will require a candidate who is comfortable supporting SEND children in small groups or in a one-to-one setting. You need to confident in managing classroom behaviour to ensure a positive and productive learning environment is maintained. Learning support assistants are also expected to aid with daily classroom tasks along with supporting the students with their learning. Individuals who take on this role should be approachable and patient.

Requirements:

  • Graduate in a relevant field.
  • Ideally some experience working with SEND children.
  • Interested in aid the development of SEND children.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Has or is able to obtain an enhanced DBS.
