Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons to secondary level students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment through collaboration with colleagues and enhancing the curriculum
  • Participate in school events and meetings as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Geography or related field
  • Enhanced DBS check

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience teaching geography at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for geography
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with standard teaching hours
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
