Geography Teacher

Protocol Education are working with a school in Shrewsbury who are looking to appoint a Geography Teacher to start September 2024.

You in the role:

  • Will be able to show strong teaching and learning skills.
  • Have expert knowledge of Geography curriculum at KS3 + KS4.
  • Can plan and deliver inclusive curriculum content and deliver excellent outcomes for all learners.
  • Show proactive commitment to further professional development, as well as CPD beyond immediate role – seeking a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience.
  • Communicate and work effectively within your department and leadership team to ensure that underachievement is addressed quickly and effectively.
  • Contribute to wider school community – i.e.. Sports or extra curricular activity.
  • Be able to inspire and motivate students – both in their learning and educating in how to be a respected member of their community.
  • Marking regularly in line with department policy and give feedback that stimulates improved learning.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • Can work well under pressure.
  • Have a genuine care and respect of all students, staff and colleagues including their wellbeing and own mental health.
  • Committed to raising standards of achievement through innovative practice.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Adhere to school behaviour policy, including systems, routines and duties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
