We are looking for a talented Geography Teacher to join a school we are working in partnership with a co-educational secondary school in the heart of Croydon. As a Geography Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire develop student understanding of human interaction and global awareness.

 

Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher:

  • Design and implement engaging lessons plan that cover a broad range of Geographical topics including Human Geography, and environmental sustainability.
  • Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that foster critical thinking and problem solving, utilizing a variety of teaching methods.
  • Assess and evaluate student understanding through quizzes, tests, and projects as well as class participation.
  • Organise field trips such as: Nature reserves, landmarks, and cultural centres to provide students with practical experiences.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm strategies and department meetings and engage in professional development activities.

 

About you:

  • You will have a bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Geographic concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and passion for cultivating student thinking.
  • Enthusiasm for fostering student global awareness and understanding of environmental sustainability.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
