About the Role

We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support learning across the curriculum in a primary specialist environment. This is a varied role working with pupils of different ages and abilities, helping them to engage with lessons, build confidence and grow their skills in a nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teacher with lesson delivery and learning activities

  • Assist pupils individually or in small groups to reinforce learning content

  • Maintain classroom routines, behaviour expectations and support positive learning climate

  • Help with classroom resources and displays to support learning visually

  • Aid in assessing pupil progress and feeding back to the teacher


Person Specification

  • Some experience in schools or working with children preferred, but not essential

  • Strong interpersonal skills; approachable, patient and encouraging

  • Good organisational skills; able to help manage materials and tasks in the classroom

  • Flexible attitude; able to adapt to varying class needs

  • DBS clearance or willing to obtain
