Teaching Assistant 

Protocol Education is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant in the Darlington area. This particular school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who will be dedicated and reliable, a great opportunity to work within a school who provides plenty of space for children to be able to learn and reach their potential. Available to work 3-5 days per week working with pupils between the ages of 3-11 years. This school believes that all children no matter their background all deserve the same opportunties and experiences.


The role includes working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and supporting the teacher with development and learning.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working as a learning support assistant
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies
  • Current, valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to purchase)
  • Able to provide references covering the last 3 years
  • Focused, creative and confident
  • SEN experience
  • Good behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
