About the Role:

Do you have a passion for education and the expertise to inspire GCSE students? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated GCSE Level Tutor to support students in the Redcar area. In this rewarding role, you will provide targeted academic support to help students achieve their full potential in their GCSE exams, boosting their confidence and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Expert Tuition: Provide personalized one-to-one or small group tutoring in GCSE subjects, including but not limited to Maths, English, Science, and Humanities.
  • Plan and Prepare Lessons: Develop engaging lesson plans and resources tailored to individual student needs, addressing gaps in knowledge and building exam readiness.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly assess and track student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support Exam Preparation: Help students develop effective study habits, revision techniques, and exam strategies to excel in their GCSEs.
  • Communication: Work closely with parents, guardians, and, where applicable, school staff to support the student’s learning journey and address any concerns.
  • Maintain a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student engagement and resilience

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant tutoring experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Proven track record in successfully teaching or tutoring GCSE students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Specialisation in one or more GCSE subjects.
  • Experience with different exam boards and their specific content requirements.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and online tutoring platforms.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
