Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate GCSE English Teacher to join our award-winning Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in the vibrant borough of Ealing. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective GCSE English lessons tailored to the diverse needs and abilities of our students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and fosters academic progress and personal development.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their academic growth and attainment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and interventions to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment, and effectively communicate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies as required.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community through participation in extracurricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching GCSE English,
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and equality within the school community.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting the academic and personal development of students facing challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
