Job Duties:

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons
  • Support students in their learning and development, providing one-to-one assistance when necessary
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour monitoring
  • Help with the preparation of educational materials and resources
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving teaching practises

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working in a classroom setting as a Teaching Assistant

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning theories
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Creative and innovative thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with children of various ages
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Potential for temporary role to become permanent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
