The Role

You will be working closely with a student,  within a positive and well-structured Year 5 classroom. The role demands a confident, proactive TA who can anticipate needs and deliver tailored support throughout the day.

 ASD (High-Functioning) & ADHD & Behaviour management

  • Breaking down tasks clearly
  • Modelling expectations
  • Showing worked examples
  • Using consistent explanation and repetition
  • Works at the expected academic level but benefits from continual 1:1 guidance to stay engaged

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous Year 5 experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of ASD, ADHD, and the nuances of behaviour support and learning scaffolds
  • Ability to anticipate and de-escalate behaviours through observation and intervention
  • Skilled at maintaining routines, adapting materials, and encouraging independence
  • Committed, calm, and confident in managing a busy classroom dynamic

Support & Environment:

  • All resources and strategies are in place to support your role
  • Collaborative teaching team and SEN support network on hand
  • Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to end-of-primary progress and wellbeing
