We’re working closely with a supportive secondary school in the BS13 area of Bristol that’s looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a role for someone who genuinely cares about young people and wants to work in a school where relationships, fairness and consistency matter. The school is keen to appoint someone full-time and, for the right person, there is strong potential for the role to become permanent.
The school
This BS13 secondary school has a strong social justice–led ethos, with a clear focus on inclusion, equality and giving every student the chance to succeed, regardless of background or circumstance.
The school serves a diverse local community and places real importance on listening to students, building trust, and helping young people feel safe, respected and understood. Staff work within clear routines and boundaries, underpinned by empathy and high expectations.
The most recent Ofsted inspection highlighted areas for development, and the school is open about this. What’s important is how they’ve responded. There is a clear improvement plan in place, a renewed focus on consistency and behaviour, and a leadership team committed to creating positive change. For support staff, this means being part of a school that is reflective, values teamwork, and welcomes adults who want to make a real difference.
This is a setting where your role as a Teaching Assistant truly matters.
