SEND Teaching Assistant – Full Time (Newcastle)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £83–£95 per day (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start date: Immediate

Looking to make a real difference in the classroom every day? We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Newcastle that’s on the lookout for a compassionate, proactive Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs.

You’ll be part of a warm, supportive team that values calm communication, consistency, and creativity. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, helping students with autism and moderate learning difficulties reach their full potential.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)

  • Encouraging independence and confidence in learning

  • Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher

  • Helping create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a SEND or mainstream classroom setting

  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude

  • Thrive or Team Teach training (or willingness to complete free training with us!)
