Make a difference where it really matters

We’re looking for a calm, caring, and confident SEN Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll be joining a welcoming specialist school where every day brings new challenges, big smiles, and plenty of progress.

If you know how to de-escalate tricky moments, build trust, and help children feel seen and supported, this role’s for you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Helping children manage emotions, focus on learning, and build confidence
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create calm, consistent routines
  • Using trauma-informed and restorative approaches to guide behaviour and wellbeing

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in SEMH, PRU, or specialist settings
  • A patient, resilient attitude and genuine care for children’s progress
  • A good sense of humour (it helps!) and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Thrive training or willingness to complete it (we offer it for free!)
