Full-Time Cover Supervisor

What you’ll be doing as a Cover Supervisor
You’ll supervise classes in the absence of teachers, using pre-set work and clear instructions to keep lessons on track. You’ll help maintain routines, encourage engagement and keep behaviour positive and consistent.
This role is a brilliant stepping stone for anyone considering teaching, youth work or other education roles.
Your responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor
- Leading classes with work already prepared by teachers
- Helping pupils stay focused, organised and ready to learn
- Managing behaviour calmly and confidently
- Reporting back to staff after cover lessons
- Adapting quickly to different subjects and teaching styles
- Building rapport with pupils across the school
What we’re looking for in a Cover Supervisor
- Someone confident and comfortable leading a classroom
- A positive communicator who stays calm under pressure
- A flexible team player
- Experience working with young people is a bonus
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
