About the Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Coach to support students in reaching their full potential — academically, socially, and personally. You’ll work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and wider staff to create a supportive, engaging environment where every learner can thrive.

This role suits someone who’s patient, organised, and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. Whether you’re running 1:1 sessions, supporting small groups, or coordinating tailored interventions, your work will make a tangible difference every single day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and pastoral support to individuals and small groups inside and outside the classroom

  • Collaborate with teachers and the SENDCo to ensure every learner is fully supported and making progress

  • Develop personalised learning plans and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver study interventions across areas like literacy, numeracy, EAL, or social skills

  • Track and report on student progress, celebrating successes and identifying next steps

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure joined-up support

What We Offer

  • Professional development: Ongoing CPD, access to networks, and paid induction and training

  • Wellbeing support: Employee Assistance Programme, flu vouchers, free eye tests (for desk-based roles)

  • Practical perks: Free parking, Cycle Scheme, DBS paid for, and recognition of continuous service

  • Inclusive culture: A supportive, values-led environment where staff and students feel seen and supported

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Experience working with children or young people (especially those with SEND)

  • A proactive, empathetic approach to supporting learning and wellbeing

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
