Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging food technology lessons to students
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs and abilities of students
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback
- Supervise practical sessions in the food technology lab
- Organise and participate in extracurricular activities related to food technology
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in Food Technology or related field
- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field
Experience:
Previous experience teaching food technology at secondary school level is desirable
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practises
- Ability to engage and inspire students in the subject
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organisational and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant field
- Experience in designing and implementing differentiated learning strategies
Working Conditions:
This role involves working with students in a classroom and practical lab setting. Standard school hours apply, with additional time required for lesson planning and assessment.
