PE Teacher / Teacher of PE required in Tower Hamlets

Are you an enthusiastic and strong Female PE Teacher / Teacher of PE? Are you currently looking for a new opportunity in an excellent school in east London? 

A Tower Hamlets based secondary school is looking for a PE Teacher / Teacher of PE to join their team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach KS3 and KS4 students confidently (ability to teach at KS5 would be advantageous).

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons.

  • Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the school’s behaviour policy.

  • Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students achieve their full potential.

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day and that students achieve the best outcomes. 

  • Act as an ambassador for Protocol Education by being punctual and professional at all times.

 You should apply for this role if you:

  • Hold QTS / QTLS/ or equivalent with a Physical Education Specialism (Instructors and Unqualified teachers will be considered)

  • Are confident at delivering PE lessons at all levels. 

  • Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, ideally teaching PE or as a sports coach. 

  • Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.

  • Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage).

  • Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.
