Supply EYFS Teaching Assistant (Reception & Nursery)

Are you a university student, recent graduate, or aspiring teacher looking for hands-on experience in an early years setting?

This warm and welcoming primary school regularly books supply EYFS teaching assistants and is keen to build a small pool of familiar faces who can support children in Reception and Nursery. The setting is well organised, nurturing, and led by experienced practitioners who value teamwork and consistency.

Class sizes are well managed, routines are clearly established, and children are supported through structured play and early learning activities.

The Role:

Your typical working hours are 8:30 – 15:30, including a 30-minute break. A typical day may include:

  • Supporting phonics, early reading, and number work

  • Helping children access play-based learning

  • Working one-to-one or with small groups

  • Supporting personal care and daily routines

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
