EYFS Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools Across Havering

Location: Brentwood, Essex
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only

Do you light up when little learners have that “aha!” moment? We’re seeking enthusiastic and caring Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to support our partner primary schools across Brentwood.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves helping children take their very first steps in education — supporting play, learning and discovery every single day.

Your role:

  • Support EYFS teachers in creating a fun, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

  • Help plan and deliver exciting, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework.

  • Encourage children’s independence, curiosity, and confidence.

  • Observe and record key developmental milestones.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and parents to ensure every child thrives.

You’ll need:

  • Previous experience supporting children in Early Years or a nursery/primary setting.

  • A calm, positive and proactive attitude.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years / Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
