A nurturing primary school in Gateshead is looking for a SEN EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children in their early years unit. You’ll be working with pupils who need a little extra help with communication, emotional regulation and learning through play. The school is friendly, welcoming and genuinely values calm, compassionate support staff.
What you’ll be doing

Providing 1:1 and small-group support for children with additional needs

Helping pupils feel safe, connected and ready to learn

Using visuals, sensory tools and simple communication strategies

Supporting routines that give structure and confidence

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external specialists
