Job Description:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant to join our team in Leeds. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support young children in their crucial early years of education, helping to foster their development in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and educational activities that support the EYFS curriculum.
  • Support individual and group learning, catering to a range of abilities and needs.
  • Help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Always ensure the safety and well-being of the children.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably within an EYFS setting.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
  • An understanding of safeguarding practices.
  • Relevant qualifications in early years education or childcare are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
