EYFS Class Teacher – Full Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Colchester on a full-time basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality early years education and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment

  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development

  • Assess, observe, and track progress using EYFS assessment methods

  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and staff

  • Work collaboratively as part of the EYFS and wider school team

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience teaching in EYFS within a UK primary school or nursery setting

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS framework

  • Be warm, enthusiastic, and child-centred in their approach

  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
