EYFS & Sensory Play Assistant – Early Development Pathway

Location: Sunderland
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)

This early development provision is searching for an enthusiastic teaching assistant who loves singing, sensory play and helping children explore the world in safe, joyful ways.

Your day will include:

  • Helping children engage in sensory and play-based activities

  • Supporting early communication through modelling, gestures and visuals

  • Assisting with structured routines and transitions

  • Encouraging independence in small, manageable steps

  • Teaming up with teachers and speech therapists to create meaningful experiences

You’ll thrive in this role if:

  • You have EYFS or nursery experience

  • You love child-led learning and sensory activities

  • You’re positive, playful and patient

  • You can create a calm, nurturing atmosphere

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
