A welcoming primary school in the Gateshead area is looking for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a child in their early years setting. This pupil needs someone patient and encouraging, someone who can help them feel safe, settled and ready to take on their learning at their own pace.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting a child in Nursery or Reception on a one-to-one basis

  • Helping them access learning through play, routines and gentle structure

  • Using visuals, modelling and simple communication strategies

  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals

  • Encouraging confidence, independence and emotional regulation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
