Experienced Level 2/3 SEND Learning Support Assistant – Sunderland & South Shields
If you’re an experienced SEND TA with a Level 2 or 3 qualification, this role could be a fantastic match. Pupils in this specialist setting need adults who are calm, consistent and genuinely invested in helping them succeed.
In this role you’ll:
• Support pupils with autism, sensory needs or communication challenges
• Use structured routines and clear, simple language
• Work 1:1 with pupils who benefit from high levels of support
• Implement personalised learning activities
• Encourage independence and confidence through small-step progress
We’d love to hear from you if:
• You hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• You’ve worked in SEND, autism or SEMH environments
• You’re confident with visual timetables and sensory strategies
• You’re kind, steady and great at building relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
