Secondary schools in Sunderland are appointing Exam Invigilators to assist with the delivery of GCSE, A-Level, and internal examinations. The role of Exam Invigilator is essential to ensuring assessment sessions run according to official examination board requirements.

As an Exam Invigilator, you will be responsible for supervising students during examinations and ensuring procedures are followed from start to finish.

Role Duties:

  • Preparing examination rooms and materials before sessions begin

  • Supervising candidates throughout the duration of exams

  • Issuing and collecting exam papers in line with guidance

  • Monitoring exam conditions and responding to issues appropriately

  • Supporting the opening and closing of examination sessions

Person Specification:

  • A professional and attentive approach to responsibilities

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures

  • Good awareness of timekeeping and accuracy

  • Willingness to work independently within exam settings

  • Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training is provided

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
