Secondary schools across Gateshead are seeking Exam Invigilators to support the safe and orderly running of examinations. This Exam Invigilator role involves overseeing students during assessments and ensuring all exam processes are completed correctly.
You will work as part of an exams team to uphold standards set by awarding bodies and school policies.
Main Responsibilities:

Organising exam rooms prior to candidate entry

Supervising students during assessments to ensure compliance

Handling examination papers and materials securely

Reporting any issues or irregularities to senior staff

Maintaining appropriate exam conditions throughout sessions
Requirements:

A responsible and reliable approach to work

Ability to remain focused for extended periods

Clear verbal and written communication skills

Availability to work flexibly during exam periods

Experience in an education setting is advantageous but not required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
