Secondary schools across Gateshead are looking to appoint dependable Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare exam venues before students arrive
- Supervise students during examinations in line with regulations
- Distribute and collect exam papers and materials securely
- Ensure examinations are conducted fairly and without disruption
- Report any irregularities to the lead invigilator or exams officer
- Support students by maintaining a calm and focused environment
Requirements
- A responsible and professional attitude
- Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work on a casual basis during exam seasons
- Experience working in schools is beneficial but not required
Additional Information
- Work is typically offered during GCSE and A-Level exam periods
- An enhanced DBS check is required prior to appointment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
