You will be working in Secondary Schools in Tyne and Wear as a Teaching Assistant. You will use your transferable skills and creative flair to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are looking for graduates who are confident communicating with children, can think on their feet and reshape and adjust to situations well.

Work will be available on a full time basis (Monday to Friday during term time only). We have roles to begin straight away. This is a fantastic opportunity for any graduate considering a career on teaching, educational psychology, art therapy or occupational therapy.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a University Degree 
  • Have a passion for teaching children
  • Be able to work Monday-Friday (term time)
  • Be able to support children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Hold an enhanced DBS/ be willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
