About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and inspiring Maths Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough. You’ll teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, bringing numbers to life through creative, engaging lessons that help every student feel confident tackling everything from algebra to angles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons for KS3 & KS4.

  • Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring strong progress and achievement.

  • Contribute to the development of a stimulating and inclusive Maths curriculum.

  • Track and assess student performance, adapting teaching where needed.

  • Build a classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.

  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student success.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge across the Maths curriculum.

  • Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching A-Level Maths or Further Maths.

  • Proven record of improving outcomes at KS4.

  • Enthusiasm for extracurricular Maths activities such as clubs or competitions.
