We’re working with a welcoming, well-led secondary school in Leeds that’s looking for a passionate English Teacher to join their team. This is a department where discussion is encouraged, ideas are shared and lessons are designed to spark curiosity, creativity and a real love of language.
What you’ll be doing

Delivering engaging English lessons across language and literature

Helping students develop confidence in reading, writing and spoken expression

Planning creative, inclusive lessons that bring texts and ideas to life

Working collaboratively within a supportive English department

Contributing to a positive school culture where students feel motivated and heard
What we’re looking for

A qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent)
-
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine love of language and literature
-
A calm, confident classroom presence with a warm, consistent approach
-
Someone who enjoys building relationships and making learning meaningful

ECTs and experienced teachers are both very welcome

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
