Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative English lessons that promote literacy, critical thinking, and creativity.
  • Inspire a love for reading, writing, and communication through a diverse range of texts and activities.
  • Support students in developing their language skills, including reading comprehension, writing, and analysis.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design a comprehensive English curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and school events.


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialization in English Language, Literature, or a related field.
  • Passion for teaching and a deep appreciation for the power of language and literature.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
