We are seeking an experienced and dynamic English teacher to join our team at a vibrant primary SEN school in Kingston. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to students across key stages 1 and 2.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that enable students to make progress in their learning • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their targets • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and events • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that teaching and learning practices are consistently high-quality and meet the needs of all students • Keep up-to-date with developments in the curriculum and pedagogy, and apply these to your teaching practice.

 

Requirements:

• A relevant degree and teaching qualification, with QTS • Experience teaching English at key stages 3, 4, and 5 in a mainstream secondary school setting • A strong understanding of the English curriculum and assessment requirements • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers • A commitment to providing a high-quality education for all students, and a passion for your subject area.
